Why physiotherapists are paying for internship?

Why physiotherapists are paying for internship?

Internship it's compulsory for every degree holder physiotherapist or physical therapist.

Without completing internship your degree is not complete and no university should give the degree without internship for physiotherapist.

As per law your internship after clearing 4 years classroom training must be from a good hospital which should have good OPD and other departments like ortho, neuro, Derma burn cardio, pediatrics and CBR etc.

In past, after completing your schooling of 4 years you have the choice to do internship from a hospital of your choice as physio therapy students were very few at that time.

Internship after schooling give intern  a proper idea of the job which he or she have to perform in rest of his life or her life.

It was the rule that as a honorarium or stipend some amount need to be given to a intern from hospital but now the things are changed completely, in contrast nowadays hospitals are charging a large amount from students or interns to do internship from their institute.

It is very difficult for private institutes or colleges students to get internship free of cost if they want to do the internship from their hometowns this is not near to the college.

Etically a doctor should  give his knowledge to the next generation which should be free.

Secondly, in a way interns are lowering down the load of doctors and hospitals as well, so ideally hospitals would not charge the interns.

Few private hospitals are charging a handsome money from the students how right or wrong they are it is a questionable thing. But now government hospitals, municipality hospital are also started charging for internship.

These government hospitals are those hospital which have always dearth of staff, doctors so if students are helping in the hospital and also learning good practices of government should also thinks to make the internships free.

What are yours thoughts on this please share your ideas in comment box.
